As part of the Tampa Bay area s yearly summer festival line-up, the Vans Warped Tour will take over St. Pete s Vinoy Park on July 31st for a day of music and fun. The event features a dizzying array of bands representing los angeles city fire department a mix of nationally recognized names, regional bands and even a few local acts. Some of the bands scheduled to appear at this year s event include A Day to Remember , Black Veil Brides , Go Radio , Gym Class Heros , Less Than Jake , The Devil Wears Prada , Winds of Plague and Asking Alexandria . In all, more than 60 bands will perform on various los angeles city fire department stages located around Vinoy Park. The festival starts at 11:30am but, if last year s crowds are any indication, plan on getting there early so you don t miss your favorite band.
Bottled water will be available throughout the event for only $3.00. If you bring your own canteen, water bottle or flask, FREE filtered water will also be available around the park. Again, its summer in Florida so keep yourself hydrated.
Parking in the downtown St. Pete area and around Vinoy Park is tight. The tour utilizes a lot of the street parking around the park, which means that you might have to park a way out and walk. There are several public parking garages around the downtown area and you can easily access the St. Pete Trolley , rather than walk to the park.
