My wife and I spent a quiet and slow paced week at the cottage. We both had a good book to read and

on a small lake in North Waterford Maine. A dock allows one to sunbathe and a canoe lets you explore the lake. It is a picture travel agent jobs postcard spot less than two miles from Melby's general store, famous for its generous ice cream cones and wonderful home cookin'. Mountain trails are within travel agent jobs walking distance. If you like golf you are withing 25 minutes of three nice courses. It is a very special place. We know you will love it if a peaceful vacation is what you are in search of.
North Waterford is a rural community. It has one general store and one gas station/pizza place and a lovely white clapboard church which hosts tasty church suppers all summer long. There is a fairgrounds open one week each year for the 'Worlds' fair. On weekends there are Sat. night dances throughout the summer. Located 15-20 miles away one finds Oxford/Norway Maine. There's a Walmart,CVS,a cinema, hospital, and whatever you need. North Conway N.H. is 45 minutes away and has an LL Bean outlet. Conway offers old fashion train rides. Portland takes a little over an hour and the Olde Port lobstah can't be beat. Of course there's a lobster pound at Springers travel agent jobs General Store just 15 min. from the cottage. travel agent jobs Bethel, Bridgeton, Lovell, Fryeburgh are all within 30 minutes travel agent jobs and have some good restaurants.
Southwestern Maine has a lot to offer the vacationer. Stay at our cottage and go back in time... not much traffic and whenever you go up there's a view...or don't go anywhere and enjoy a gorgeous view right from the porch.

There are a variety of old mines in the area where families can go and spend a day digging for gems...rubies and tourmaline. Lots of places to canoe and swim: Kezar lake, Long lake, Norway Lake...etc.
My wife and I spent a quiet and slow paced week at the cottage. We both had a good book to read and tried to put a 1000 piece puzzle together. Notice I said tried! 90% finished. The weather was very good and the water was warm. We did not even put on the tv. The food is great at Melby's. The stories of the portions travel agent jobs at Melby's are true. If you want to get away from "it all" this is the place. Just do not take the last week in July. That is ours!
We also brought along our dog, Casey (springer spaniel) He had a better time than we did . All he wanted to do was chase frogs and jump off the dock to catch the fish. My only dissapointment was that I did not catch anything more than a perch. Although, there is a stuffed cloth fish hanging on the porch. We took a picture of me with the stuff fish and sent it to family at home. They tink I caught a whopper!!
A wonderful spot for a true relaxing vacation. The property is accurately described & well appointed. Definitely a spot that encourages peace & quiet. Large house, plenty of outdoor travel agent jobs space, & well equipped. The dock is located in front of the adjacent property that the owner also owns. Kitchen travel agent jobs is very well equipped & there are plenty of linens & towels provided. The gas grill is a bit small, but certainly accomodated our needs. One drawback is that there is not much of a "beach" area, but the offshore float is within easy swimming distance. travel agent jobs The owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns travel agent jobs throughout the entire process & a pleasure to work with. Access to the property is very good, directions were clear, accurate, & concise. The sights & sounds of a very private pond were second to none. We would highly recommend this property travel agent jobs to anyone who is looking to escape the fast pace of daily life.
Our family rented this lovely house for 8 days at the end of August (not long enough!). The house was fully equipped with everything a family could want - diswasher, washer and drier, kitchen travel agent jobs utensils, etc. The caretaker left us an unexpected welcome bag with goodies and games for the children. The location can't be better - right on the lake with a canoe in the garage(there are screens on the porch so the mosquitoes don't eat you up). The kids really enjoyed travel agent jobs canoeing on the lake and were even able to see some loons up close. The house was also a well-located for day trips to various nearby sites - Bethel , the White Mountains, Mt. Washington , the Maine Woildlife travel agent jobs Reserve, Portland , etc. We were only sorry that we couldn't stay longer.
We spent a wonderful week at the cottage with our 3 teenagers. We all enjoyed the time on the lake & just staying travel agent jobs at the cottage. The outdoor travel agent jobs shower travel agent jobs was a hit (although we could have used the whirlpool tub or shower). Although somewhat rustic, it had everything we needed. We were close enough to do sightseeing or large grocery shopping, but also enjoyed the nearby general store. Very hospitable community. The lake had great fishing, & we used an innertube & canoe to explore the wildlife on the lake. The owner & caretaker were both a delight to deal with.
