Very private Maine cottage just 12 feet from the water's edge located on Peabody Pond in Sebago, Maine. There is a nice sandy beach with a gradual entry into the water. THE best vacation on Peabody Pond in a lovely cottage travel nurse companies with everything you need. A beautiful view of water, trees, and sky. So quiet and peaceful. Kayaking, swimming, walking, fishing, reading, loons, moose, and rainbows. So very relaxing to unplug for a week!
It was great to return for a third year--no anxiety because we knew the cottage would be clean and comfortable. It took us less than 10 minutes to unpack the food, grab our swimsuits and hit the beach. This is the perfect spot for reading and relaxing--and listening to calling loons. See you in 2011!
My husband and myself, along with another couple stayed for 3 nights travel nurse companies in this cabin in Maine. It was a good time. We checked out an area disc golf course one of the days and kayaked and canoed on the pond one of the other days. We only got rain the last day. We watched the bats come out for their dusk feeding which was pretty amazing. My husband caught a fish. The scenery was beautiful, it was just what we needed.
We vacationed with four children (2 boys, ages 14 and 15, & 2 girls ages 9 & 11). We all the time of our lives! It was the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure, and fun! Although we enjoyed the area, our preference was to be at the cabin. The lake was beautiful, warm and quiet - kids LOVED the floating dock and the kyaks. We hiked on nearby trails, steamed Maine lobsters, & spent a day in Portland (only 1 hour away). The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more! We can't wait to go back!
This was a lovely place to spend a week with our family. The lake is beautiful and offers something for everyone: fishing, swimming, kayaking, or just sitting on the deck and watching the loons. I rented the house for my parents for their anniversary. I talked to them everyday and they told me how great it was there. They enjoyed the peace and quiet and the wonderful view.
