We drove to Lancaster to drop our Hertz rental car at the Hertz rental office in Lancaster, closed today (Sunday) but we were assured there was a secure lot to leave the car and a drop box for the keys. The plan was to take the ferry from a nearby port out to the Isle of Man.
The Hertz lot was so secure we couldn t get into it. We called city of los angeles office of finance Hertz on our vodaphone and were told of course we couldn t leave the car there on Sunday and to return it on Monday. Then the minutes ran out on our vodaphone. We had ferry tickets city of los angeles office of finance for today to the Isle of Man and hotel reservations for tonight, so decided to skip the ferry, drive to Liverpool, and take a plane to Isle of Man.
When we tried to buy EasyJet tickets to the Isle of Man, our credit card was declined. So over to the ATM to get enough cash for the tickets. This is the second (and last) credit card we have with us. Our first credit card has some fraudulent use on it, from Ireland, and we cancelled it.
A bright spot: On the plane, Wayne and the woman seated city of los angeles office of finance next to him started talking, and when she heard our plight city of los angeles office of finance she offered us a ride to our hotel in Douglas, Isle of Man. This was a bright spot in our day, for the Isle of Man Airport was ten miles from Douglas. She drove us to Douglas, drove us around to orient us, then took us to the doorsteps of our B B and even carried one of our suitcases up the steps to the door.
