When my husband and I travel and we need the service of a car rental, it has always been Enterprise. However, when we were planning rhode island beachfront vacation rentals our holiday trip to Minnesota, we booked a vacation package rhode island beachfront vacation rentals with Priceline. Besides, the package we got is really affordable and we don t want to add more to the cost just to get Enterprise.
So when we arrived at Minneapolis Saint Paul Airport , we went straight to the AVIS counter. ( They don t have self-service kiosk like Alamo ). Based on our past experiences, when everything is pre-coordinated, all you have to do is present your identification card and they will have everything ready in minutes. When my husband went to the AVIS counter, he was asked to show his drivers license and copy of the printed confirmation that we got from priceline. The man in the counter is friendly and accommodating. It took him approximately 10 minutes to processes everything. Then he pointed us to the direction of the parking lot, told us the type and color of the car and gave us the keys. When we went to the parking slot where the car should be, it wasn t there. I was left in the parking lot and my husband went back in to clear things out. The next thing I knew, the man on counter was out in the parking lot and pointed us to different car. He said we can put our stuff in the trunk and I can wait inside the car while he and my husband went back inside to correct the paper works. I waited inside the car just looking thru the window where I can see them from afar. 5 minutes passed, then I became 10 minutes. Still my husband isn t back, I can still see him standing on the AVIS counter, waiting. So I took my glucose meter and checked for my blood sugar still he isn t back. If I am not mistaken, its approximately 25 minutes before he came out again! What took them so long. I can see from a far that the line behind my husband had becoming longer. Now I doubted their efficiency. Waiting for almost 30 minutes is just irritating! My husband told me that no explanation was given why it took them so long.
Other than that initial annoying experience, everything went good. The car that was rented to us was of good quality. rhode island beachfront vacation rentals It took us on every place we wanted to go conveniently and safely. Even when we returned the car, everything went fast and hassle-free.
Generally, I would give AVIS MSP 7.5 out of ten. Just a passing grade. I know they can do better rhode island beachfront vacation rentals than that. Still, the next time we travel, and we have the option, I will still go for Enterprise. I cannot speak for other AVIS rentals, this review is exclusively for AVIS-MSP.
