So I got an email this morning about my bike. See below, it starts with the first email at the bottom and most recent at the top. So this is obviously a scammer, but I'd like to mess with him a little bit, any ideas??
A friend of mine who sells a fair amount of vehicles, (suffers from car and bike ADD) always sets up the showing of the friend at an address local to his house; the MA State Police barracks parking lot in his town.
Tell him the bike is 'hot' but you know a guy that can hook him up with paperwork but he's from Brazil and needs YOUR (the scammer's) paypal account to send a bill for clean paperwork. Proceed to tell him everything that could possibly be wrong with the bike but it comes with a reliable warranty, for an additional price.
I hate these guys. You should consider it sold ...ummm...no. I'm giving you an extra $100 to take it off the market, mount washington valley hotels but I need more pictures to make sure I want it ...ummm...no. I am interested, but really, some other guy is interested because I'm in the middle of the ocean ...ummm...no.
You should just reply back to the email with the 919 pictures published by Honda. Even better mount washington valley hotels yet, just pull pictures from the internet and make it obvious that it's not even the same bike in all the pictures.
Sounds like the guy I dealt with on an XR 600 I sold, I was asking $1000, dude said take ur $1000 and western union the rest to some bogus shipping co. Then someone from the shipping co. Would come get it, yeah right!!
He actually sent a $3000 check that I promptly wrote void on and sent back to Carolina university, they were amazed that some asshole was running around the country writing checks off of their accounts, I reported it to Craig's list and sent all the info I had to the Carolina state police, the university was so happy that I sent the bogus check back to them they sent me a Carolina T-shirt, and a certificate saying I was now an honorary member of the university, just what I always wanted!! Well it was a good deed in a world of scammers
