That's what happened to me yesterday when I was researching a hostel. I asked to see a room and the receptionist said they were full, but a man who was staying there offered to show me his room once he worked on the Wi-Fi on his iPhone.
As I'm waiting for my personal tour, in walks a horde of Dutch guys in suits. First, I'm thinking "Holy sh**, there's like 7 Dutch guys in here and they're all blonde." air tickets Second, I'm thinking "What are they doing all dressed up in a hostel ?"
But these thoughts quickly leave my mind when I realize I know the last guy who walked air tickets in. I look at him and we exchange "oh my god!"s and "what are you doing here??"s and hugs. It was none other than the Dutch guy I met just over a year ago in Cusco. We were volunteering through the same Spanish school and had spent several nights 'researching' air tickets the nightlife in the Plaza de Armas together. He was in Paris just for one night for his buddy's father's wedding (hence the suits).
On a rainy summer day in Paris, at a random hostel that I only by chance popped into after spotting it from the metro, paths re-cross. If that's not enough, I met a couple of girls in my hostel dorm room the night from my college back in the States and a boy I who also attended my same elementary school.
For 52 years, we have published the world s favorite budget travel guides, written entirely by students and updated every year. With pen and notebook in hand and a few changes of underwear stuffed in our backpacks, we spend months roaming the globe in search of travel bargains.
