Marriott also has a MegaMiles promotion from July 1st to October 31st, 2012 for triple airline miles with selected airlines. Note that you need to change your earning from points to miles before you can sign up for this.
Starwood launched their much anticipated SPG Nice Choice promotion on May 1st that hasn't gone down too well.
